Snuggle Time
It's time to snuggle up on Grandma's foot on the couch!

Missed It!
Darn... I missed our Blogiversary! Bad dog mom... Our 2 year Blogiversary was on January 24th. How far we've come from that first scary blog I posted. I had just found out about Riley's hip dysplasia and we were 2 days from seeing the surgeon (at the same office that did Riley's knee surgery back in October). Thankfully, my 10 month-old puppy did not have to have hip surgery and just had to be on crate rest for 2 weeks instead of 8-12 weeks like she would have had to have been on if she would have had surgery. Little did I know that two years later she would have a knee injury and have to have surgery. But that's all water under the bridge now.
Riley is fully recovered from her knee surgery and is back to running around and jumping. I don't let her play fetch outside on the uneven ground anymore, but she does get to play fetch inside again now. In fact, she's trying to play with me as I'm typing this! I'm so thankful that she did so well after her surgery--8 loooooong weeks in the crate were not fun for her, but she did it because it's what her people wanted her to do.
I'm so thankful for such an obedient dog and so thankful for all our blogging pals--even if we haven't been around that much lately!

This is her surgery leg...you can hardly tell it had been shaved anymore!

Riley's V-E-T Visit...Yikes!
I have mentioned many times before that Riley acts a little...well...nuts at the vet...! She gets super nervous and tries to get back in the car once she gets out and then hides under the chairs in the waiting room. The only redeeming quality about going to the vet is that her favorite person in the WORLD is a receptionist there and gives her all kinds of loving and kisses!
She has taken up residence against the snack/drink machine...
Getting brave and peeking out from under the chairs...
What a goober. If I didn't love her so much, I would be embarrassed. But at least she doesn't get aggressive or anything when she gets scared/nervous at the vet! She got her nails trimmed and got a heartworm test done because she was due for it. She takes Heartguard and Frontline Plus religiously once a month, so I'm sure her test will come back negative.
